The Consortium known as Consorzio Comex s.c.a.r.l. is a Limited Liability Company whose purpose is to promote, procure contracts, and provide services by drawing on and coordinating the individual experience and expertise of the Consortium member companies in various fields of business.

The Consorzio Comex s.c.a.r.l. Consortium’s operational flexibility allows us to work on a broad range of projects: from shipbuilding and industrial plant assembly, to pipe prefabrication and fitting, and testing in the engineering industry.

We mainly work in Italy’s Northeast (Marghera and Monfalcone), in Liguria (Sestri Ponente, Riva Trigoso and Muggiano) and Palermo, and in Vard shipyards in Tulcea in Romania.

We are UNI EN ISO 9001: 2015 certified (Certificate n° 16267/07/S – certifying body RINA S.p.A.) and Bureau Veritas certified (Certificate n° 78623)

Work Safe is our mantra and we comply with relevant legislation (in Italy, this is DL 81/2008), monitored by a company specializing in the Occupational Health and Safety and Environment sector, which is the realm of our OHS manager, who coordinates and oversees all our Safety-related matters.

Our core business and specialization consists in machinery space pipe prefabrication and fitting on passenger ships. We have two workshops here in the Veneto region capable of prefabricating approximately 3500-4000 lengths of pipe a month from carbon/stainless/cunifer/copper steel, and special steels, all of which is subject to strict quality control procedures, using cutting-edge equipment, and highly specialist technicians, pipe fitters and welders (SMAW, wire-feed, argon).

We deliver complete pipework, providing the full range of services: radiographic testing, thickness checks, stamping, pickling, coating or galvanizing, and inspection

Consorzio Comex s.c.a.r.l. was established by initiative of COMEX s.r.l., a company that had been in business since 26/02/1999 and took over part of the workers and equipment of Società Soico S.p.a. (ABB SAE SADEMI group) operating in Marghera (in the province of Venice).

Consorzio Comex s.c.a.r.l. has been operational since 21/10/2003, and is made up of a well-gelled group of synergistic companies. The Consortium also has its own vehicles and an impressive plant list of cutting-edge equipment:
